Sustainable printing
During our search for paper for sustainable printing we came into contact with Value changers, they give a new purpose to residual flows.
One of their projects is:

paper with grass from bee-friendly Dutch
roadsides
By using roadside grass as raw material for the paper, the residual flow is reduced and the stored CO2The grass clippings are not free-range. Waardewenders dries and grinds the grass clippings in-house before further processing.
Because the grass clippings don't remain on the roadside verges, the soil remains poor and provides opportunities for a wider variety of flowers, herbs, and grasses. They provide food and shelter for all kinds of animals. Insects are on the menu of birds, bats, and small mammals. Moreover, herb-rich soils retain water better due to their more complex root structures, keeping the subsoil firmer. And once the flowers and herbs have finished flowering, the grass clippings are mown again and used as raw material for new paper.
From Dutch soil
With roadside grass fibres from and produced on Dutch soil, there is less transport and minimal CO2 emissions.
Durable
By reusing old paper and adding roadside grass, fewer trees are needed for this paper with an NL Greenlabel A sustainability passport.
Visible fibers
No chemical processes are used to bleach the paper and the roadside grass fibres are subtly visible in the paper.
Responsible
The roadside grass fibers used for paper come from ecologically managed roadsides. This means the roadsides aren't mown weekly, but herbs are given the opportunity to flourish. This allows insects and small animals in the roadside to survive. Furthermore, the entire roadside isn't mown at once; some vegetation is left standing, creating a better habitat for butterflies and bees.
