This is the privacy statement of U2pi BV and its brand names jouwboek.nl, jouwboekdrukkerij.nl, copyshopdenhaag.nl, and kelbo.nl (hereinafter also referred to as "U2pi"). This privacy statement applies to all products and services offered by U2pi under its brands and trade names.
We process personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The controller responsible for your personal data is U2pi BV, Carolina van Nassaustraat 161, 2595 SX The Hague (Chamber of Commerce number 27322834).

Processing of personal data
In this privacy statement, we explain what data we collect and for what purposes we use it. We do this by describing the various ways we obtain personal data.
The legal basis for this processing of your personal data by U2pi is always the performance of the agreement with you, your consent and/or the pursuit of a legitimate interest (such as the interest in being able to send marketing information and preventing fraud) of U2pi or a third party.
U2pi is constantly striving to optimize and innovate its products and services. We therefore use the personal data we collect for analysis purposes and to adapt and improve our services. We try to personalize our communications where possible and permitted. Personal data may also be used to prevent fraud and secure our websites, apps, products, and services.
In the context of sales and agreements for the supply of products and services
U2pi offers various publications and (in various webshops) provides reprographic services in the broadest sense of the word. U2pi processes contact details (including name, address, telephone number, and email address) and transaction data (including bank and payment information) to enter into and execute the agreement with you, to provide these products and services, and to keep you informed of their progress. The legal basis for processing is the execution of the agreement with you.
Visiting a U2pi website
U2pi manages several websites. When you use U2pi websites, we collect personal data to provide you with the best possible service. For example, we use cookies and scripts to improve the functioning of the websites. We and third parties also place tracking cookies and scripts on some websites to show you advertisements tailored to your interests and to analyze your browsing behavior.
Some U2pi websites use cookies and similar technologies to recognize and track you online, monitor your click and mouse behavior, and create profiles based on your behavior on the website.
The legal basis for these processes is your consent (with the exception of functional cookies and cookies with minor consequences for your privacy).
Newsletter
U2pi processes click behavior on a U2pi website in response to a newsletter you received, to improve its products/services and to enable targeted advertising, if you have given permission for this.
Creating an account
On some U2pi websites, you can create an account. To create an account, enter your name and email address (your login credentials). With an account, you only need to log in on subsequent visits; you don't need to re-enter your login credentials. The basis for this processing is the performance of our agreement with you.
If data within the account is used for research and analysis to improve our services, the basis is U2pi's legitimate business interest in improving its services.
We may enrich your login details with information we have about you as a newsletter recipient. We do this to recognize you as a newsletter recipient. This allows us to offer you a discount on products or services for which you are eligible. On some websites, we may enrich your login details with information we obtain from your use of the website. If this is the case, we will inform you of this before you create an account or ask for your consent separately if required.
Use of social media
U2pi is present on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. When you follow us on social media, we may access some of your profile information. This depends on your settings on these social media platforms. U2pi can track how often a particular article is shared and "liked" on social media to analyze its reach. The basis for this processing is U2pi's legitimate interest in improving its services.
U2pi may use third-party (marketing) services, such as Facebook and Google. This allows U2pi to target a specific audience on social media.

You can contact U2pi's customer service through various channels, such as info@jouwboek.nl or other methods. Please visit U2pi's various websites for more information. When you contact our customer service, we may ask for certain contact information, such as your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We use this information to process your inquiry and store it to better assist you later, in fulfilling our agreement with you. We also use the information to improve our products and services, based on U2pi's legitimate interest in improving its services.
Communication from U2pi
U2pi likes to keep you informed about U2pi's news, events, and promotions. We do this by email, but also through direct marketing mailings or telemarketing. This is tailored as much as possible to your preferences and interests when we know them and you have given your consent. U2pi processes contact details (including name and email address), date of birth, and potential interest data (based on website behavior or otherwise) for email newsletters.
You can subscribe to U2pi communications in various ways, such as by subscribing to one of U2pi's newsletters. U2pi can also keep you informed about similar products or services via email after a purchase, such as one made in one of its online stores, unless you indicated you do not wish to receive this information when making your purchase. U2pi enters into a data processing agreement with third parties acting as processors for U2pi, which stipulates, among other things, that they will only process personal data on U2pi's behalf.

U2pi will otherwise only provide data to third parties with your prior consent or if we are required to do so by law or regulation, if we are compelled to do so as a result of legal proceedings, and/or if we deem it necessary to protect our own interests.
Security
U2pi takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful processing. As part of this, U2pi enters into data processing agreements with suppliers it engages and who process personal data on its behalf, imposing appropriate obligations on these suppliers to ensure the security of this data.
Your rights
Inspection and correction
If you would like an overview of all your personal data processed by U2pi, you can request it via info@jouwboek.nl. You can also request changes or corrections to your data via this email address. U2pi will respond to such requests as quickly as possible, but no later than within one month, unless an extension of that period is justified by law.
Objection
You can object at any time to the use of your personal data for direct marketing and/or the receipt of (certain) marketing information by submitting this request in writing to U2pi BV, reply number 91025, 2509 VC The Hague, or by email to info@jouwboek.nl. The newsletters sent by U2pi include an unsubscribe option. If you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive such messages.
Removal
If you want U2pi to delete your personal data and/or account, you can request this by sending an email to info@jouwboek.nl. It is possible that some personal data will be retained by U2pi after the deletion request, for example if this is necessary for the processing of placed orders or if there is a legal obligation to retain the data.
Restriction of processing
If you have valid reasons to request a restriction of processing, for example because you dispute the accuracy of the personal data that U2pi processes, or you have objected to the processing of personal data by U2pi, you can request this by sending an email to info@jouwboek.nl
Data portability
If U2pi's processing of personal data is based on your consent and is carried out via automated means, you have the right to request that we provide you with the personal data you have provided to U2pi in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You can request this by sending an email to info@jouwboek.nl
Withdrawal of consent
Where processing of your personal data is based on your (explicit) consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Complaint
If you have a complaint about the use of personal data by U2pi, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Retention periods
Personal data will not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed. WPG sets retention periods for each purpose and data category. When determining retention periods, U2pi takes into account decisions from the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Transfers to countries outside the EEA
Your personal data will only be stored or processed outside the EEA by U2pi or processors engaged by U2pi if this is in accordance with applicable regulations for the transfer of personal data to countries outside the EEA.
Minors
Are you under 18? Please ask your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) for permission to use our products and services.
Persons under the age of 18 (minors) may only purchase U2pi products and services with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the minor must read this privacy statement and the cookie statement in the minor's best interest and can exercise the rights of the minor in their stead. U2pi encourages parents or legal guardians to supervise a minor's use of U2pi products and services and to make them aware of the use that may be made of their personal data based on this privacy statement and the cookie statement.
Changes
U2pi reserves the right to amend this privacy statement. Please ensure you are aware of the then-current privacy statement each time you use our services. We will notify you of any important changes.
Transfer of companies
U2pi may transfer its business, subsidiaries, and/or services to a third party. In that case, your personal data will also be transferred to that party. We will inform you of this in advance. If you no longer wish to use our services after this, you can request that we delete your data.
